Appetizers & Dessert

I love to entertain. I even enjoy the prep work. My specialty is Italian. I love Italian. Last night wasn’t any different. I prepared appetizers which consisted of my homemade brushetta (yum), shrimp cocktail, veggies (cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, cauliflower, broccoli, red & yellow peppers, carrots), artisan rosemary crackers, kalamata olives and black olives; fruit and cheese platter.

For dinner, we had salad and my homemade spaghetti sauce. I have been asked so many time (as for my recipe and each time I politely decline. I want it to be something my grandchildren will pass on to their children and so on. A true family recipe.

For dessert….. Banana Split Cake. I told GW not to let me forget dessert. Well….I forgot it (again ~ Monday when I held a PTO meeting at my house I forgot it then too). Maybe subconsciously I am doing it on purpose because it truly is that good. However, I did send some home with friends that night and last night too.

This is the beauty when sliced.
